1.25 know and use the relationship between the moment of a force and its distance from the pivot

Moment = Force x Perpendicular distance from pivot

The force must be at 90 degrees in relation to the distance from the pivot. (see below)

(Moment = Force x Distance)

Moment = F x D

Moment is measured in NM
Force is measured in N
Distance is measured in M
