2.13 Know that lamps and LEDs can be used to indicate the presence of a current in a circuit

A lamp or LED will not turn on unless there is a current in the circuit (and/or the circuit is complete). This means that is a current, the lamp/LED will turn on.

This can be used to determine whether there is a current.

Literally, this is all that matters:
  • LED/lamp on = current
  • LED/lamp off = no current
